Women Empowerment Cell

          Women Empowerment is a process which helps them take their own decisions by breaking all personal limitations of the society and family, making them financially independent, educated and progressive, enjoying a good social status. It envisages utilizing the abilities of women in making decisions, education, and profession, so that a better society is built. 

        There is an instant need to take measures to uplift the social, personal and professional status of women, bringing them shoulder to shoulder with men.

         These particular measures constitute a process, which is known as “Women Empowerment”. Providing better education and employment opportunities to women, ensuring their better health, providing justice and ensuring professional equivalence, are the few methods of women empowerment. The Women Empowerment Cell at PRR & VS works with this aim.

To help the upcoming women generation develop qualities of integrity, self-sustainability on par with men, to contribute to the development of the country. 

Mission:

To train women to acquire wide range of skills and knowledge.

To develop and increase their social, economic and intellectual capacities for peace, security and prosperity of mankind.

Goal:

 The Women Empowerment Cell encourages women to find practical solutions to their   challenges so that each one becomes self-dependent in their own right.   

Objectives:

 To promote strong leadership and growth of women in their own right.

 To develop the self-confidence of women in building their capacity.

 Training the women to impart knowledge of opportunities

 To educate girl students on women specific health issues.

 Creating social awareness about the problems of women, gender equity and prevention of sexual   harassment.

Functions:

To create the awareness on the objectives of WEC amongst girl students

To encourage women to undertake activities that strengthens their self-confidence.

         To participate actively in the events and competitions organized by the cell and encourage other girl
          students to participate.

         To empower female faculty, staff and students about general economic and social issues.

         To review safety and security measures for female employees and girl students at PRR&VS Govt Degree 

          College,Vidavaluru,SPSR Nellore (Dist).
